The inner layer is called the barrier layer (also called active layer), which is thin, dense and of high resistance. The porous outer layer grows on top of the dense inner layer that has dielectric properties.Overall, the anodic oxide film is a column of hexagonal cylinders, each of which should be a solution-filled star-shaped holes, shaped like a honeycomb structure, the thickness of the pore wall is twice the diameter of the pore.
